Some Nigerian Citizens have demanded the sack of Godwin Emefiele, the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, over what they described as ‘woeful failure since he started his tenure in the apex bank.
The CBN Governor has been tagged with many financial problems dragging the nation down for making bad decisions in addressing the country’s economic challenges.
Many enlightened persons backed up the call for his sack, insisting that the Governor has taken several irrational decisions varying from devaluating the Naira, banning sales of dollars to Bureau DE Change, BDC Operators among other miscalculations that negatively affected the Gross Domestic Product, GDP and value of the Nigerian currency as against monies from other countries, especially dollars.
A post from @olasxni sparked the whole discussion that demanded that Godwin Emefiele be immediately removed from such a sensitive position before bringing Nigeria further downtime drain.
The moment the statement from the bank hit the internet, asking that the authorities arrest anybody caught using the naira to buy dollars, tweeps jumped on the microblogging platform to accuse the Governor of blaming Nigerians for his failure.
