Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has dropped some survival tips for its members and people of various communities experiencing continuous attacks from armed herders and religious extremists.
Passing this message is the Youth Wing Christian Association of Nigeria, YOWICAN, which spoke without fear or favour, advising members to defend selves from attackers.
The tips were relayed through a press release issued to journalists by YOWICAN’s national chairman, Belusochukwu Enwere, on Sunday in Plateau State, where he mentioned the recent killings in the region, stating that it’s high time the massacres cease with immediate effects.
According to the statement, Enwere condemned in totality the horrible killings of over thirty-five citizens of Plateau State, particularly Christians in the state.

For instance, “On August 25 in a midnight attack where houses and churches and primary school in Kunga of Zangam were burnt.
“This is not acceptable to Nigerian no matter the tribe, religion and ethnicity. Evidently, Nigeria is sliding into anarchy where religion, ethnic and terrorism are spreading like wildfire.” He said.
According to YOWICAN’s national chairman, nothing would ever erase the scars of all these killings in the minds of the affected. “Today it’s Plateau, and another is Kaduna, Benue etc. All these killings must stop?” he declared.
