Children’s Day: Saraki Pick Lessons From Houston’s Song

Former Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki has pointed out to a few lines in Whitney Houston’s song in commemoration of Children’s day in Nigeria.

According to Saraki, the first few lines of Houston’s song titled “The Greatest Love of All” are a timeless reminder of children’s position as the future of any society.

In a tweet on his Twitter handle, he further stated that the lines in the song are also a reminder of the responsibility parents and society bear to teach them well and let them lead the way.

Saraki, who is also a former Governor of Kwara State wished Children in the country a happy Children’s Day adding that they all represent the hope for the future.

He further appealed to people in the society to see the beauty in children as he also canvassed the need to teach and provide for them well so they can lead the way.

UNICEF appointed Nigerian Singer and Music producer, Cohams Asuquo as its National Ambassador

In the meantime, the United Nations Children’s Fund, UNICEF in Nigeria has appointed Nigerian musician, songwriter and producer, Cobhams Asuquo, as its National Ambassador.

UNICEF Nigeria Representative, Mr Peter Hawkins, announced the appointment in a statement made available to news reporters in Kaduna.

According to Hawkins, the appointment made Cobhams UNICEF Nigeria’s first National Ambassador in the last 15 years.
