Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaiem who is currently on loan with the just relegated Leganes is currently been linked with La Liga big side Sevilla. Sevilla has been linked with the Nigeria defender, Chidozie Awaziem is a loanee from Porto he featured in the colours of Leganes in the just-ended season in Spain.
Chidozie Awaziem was one of the best players for the relegated Leganes in the 2019/20 La Liga season and the Nigerian is already set and due to return to Porto at the expiration of his loan deal. Sevilla has reportedly said they are interested in the player, they are willing to extend the Nigerian’s stay in Spain beyond just this season as they have made a move to sign the centre back who featured 26 times for Leganes in the LaLiga this term.
Chiddozie Awaziem will be willing to link up with Sevilla if their negotiations go on smoothly with Porto as he still
has in mind to play for his dream team Real Madrid and staying in Spain can help him meet that dream easily. The player confessed his desire is to play for Los Blancos and with his idol is Sergio Ramos.
According to him, he said: “I pray to play someday at Real Madrid. I like Sergio Ramos. I really like him. I love his style of play, his
attitude on the field, his fighting spirit and his leadership. That is why I always dreamed of playing in La Liga and I also dream of playing for Real Madrid.”
