Chelsea’s Eden Hazard Tops “Assists” Ranking in Europe’s Top Five Leagues

Chelsea and Belgian International Eden Michael Hazard has now assisted 15 league goals this season. He is currently more than any other player in the big five European leagues in 2018-19. Eden Hazard has proceeded top of the assists rankings in the Five Europe’s top leagues which includes La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1 and the Bundesliga. This achievement was attained after providing two assists. During Chelsea’s 3-0 win over Watford at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Chelsea’s players although were booed off the pitch. By their own fans after an unimpressive first half performance. Watford totally had good opportunities to score through Troy Deeney and Abdoulaye Doucoure. But the wasted the opportunities. Moving-on, just six minutes into the second half, Chelsea’s supporters as usual were back on their side. After goals from Ruben Loftus-Cheek and David Luiz put the hosts 2-0 head. Eden Hazard was vital all through the game and played a huge role in both goals. He made a fine cross to Loftus Cheek at the back post in the 48 minutes to get the opener. He also whipped another pass in for Luiz in the 51st minutes for a second goal.

However, Hazard both assists in quick succession took him to 15 in the Premier League this season. A record breaker in Europe’s big five leagues. Hazard had already surpassed his best-ever assist tally for Chelsea in the Premier League before the Watford game. But he is one short of his all-time record of 16 for Lille in 2011-12. Ryan Fraser (Bournemouth) had been the topping the assist provider table in the Premier League with 14 assists. While Jadon Sancho (Borussia Dortmund’s) also share the same number in the German Bundesliga.

Chealsea’s new signing, Gonzalo Higuain made sure the game was sealed in the 75 minutes with a third goal. The win moved Chelsea above Tottenham and into the top three place in the Premier League table. Despite the fact that Hazard wasn’t able to scor in the game. His impact was really felt and he already has 16 Premier League goals to his name. Which equals his best ever return in the division.
