Chelsea management is currently in talks with former Paris St-Germain manager Thomas Tuchel following the recent fall in the form of Chelsea. Frank Lampard is on the verge of losing his job as the club look for a new manager. They have resumed talks with the former Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel who they wanted to sign four years ago.
Their last loss pushed them from the fifth-place to the eighth-place position in the English Premier League table. The management earlier contacted former Juventus manager Allegri to take over from Lampard, but no news has come out from that meeting.
According to journalist Jan Aage Fjortoft, the Stamford Bridge hierarchy has contacted Thomas Tuchel’s representatives about replacing Lampard. He said: “Tuchel Agents and Chelsea representatives have been talking about bringing Tuchel in.
I understand no decision has been made in Lampard yet, but if he goes Tuchel is seen as the best replacement In the middle of the season.” Roman Abramovich has since from 2003 to date hired and sacked 14 different managers.
Despite Lampard making his name as one of the club’s best-ever players, it seems his days at the club are already numbered. Tuchel has been instilled as the favourite to take over at Chelsea, with the German given even odds to replace Lampard following recent developments.
