Chelsea Football Club of England is currently in talks to sign 24-year-old Germany international Timo Werner, the player is also linked with Liverpool and the player has admitted he is very proud of the links and the association with the clubs. Timo Werner has been in a very good form for his club side Red Bull Leipzig in the German Bundesliga.
The 24-year-old Chelsea target has so far scored 25 goals in the Bundesliga this season and 11 in 29 games for Germany. Reports has it that his release clause is around £54m. Chelsea are currently in need of striker as they only have Tammy Abraham and the legs of French international Olivier Giroud who is the only fit point man in the club presently.
Tammy Abraham suffered an ankle injury in January and has since been out of game Chelsea can not depend solely on Giroud and so Timo Werner remains the next option to replace or fill in the gap of the attacking line in Chelsea line up. Recently the Franch international Olivier Giroud extended his contract by a year.
In January Lampard was linked with Paris St-Germain forward Edinson Cavani and Napoli’s Dries Mertens but he did not sign any player at the close of the transfer window. They have completed the signing of Ajax winger Hakim Ziyech for £37m in February if they are able to sign the player then he will be the second signing for Frank Lampard as Chelsea coach.
