Lyricists are not far-fetched for M.I Abaga who is a gem in this aspect of music. Many times, he has listed the best of the best in music either on his social media account or through his music. The self-acclaimed ‘African Rapper Number One’ has added the list of top lyricists to his selections so far.
Lyricists are those who writes lyrics for songs, choosing the best of these people isn’t a daunting task for M.I Abaga who feels he sits on the throne of Nigerian best rapper. He has used his diss tracks to talk about the best rapper in Nigeria and this time, he chooses the best in lyrics the country have ever witnessed.
Jude Abaga aka M.I Abaga made it known to his followers the criteria for his choice. He stated that artists who make it into his subjective list must have multiple bodies of work to be considered in his top 5 lyricists. Even though there are new faces in his list, he felt they deserved to be among the best.

Many could have expected to see the likes of his brother Jesse Jagz and ex-label mate, Ice Prince Zamani in the list but this is how M. I’s list look like. There’s also no place for M.I Abaga’s rival, Vector in the list.
He however, made sure his followers give their own list by asking them to do so which have made many to counter the new record label owner.
