Champions League released the 2019/20 draws and is like a reunion for old rivals. The hearts of many fans are surely panting after the draws. It is the knock out stage and there is no room for taking chances at all. All the teams topping their various groups are all league leaders in their own leagues which is the first time is happening. This means all the teams in the Champions League are real forces to reckon with.

Chelsea will be looking to repeat the 2012 final when they won Bayern Munich. Champions League Favored no Team this Time

Tottenham will be playing German side RB Leipzig. Spurs have changed manager since then, Jose Mourinho has been excellently well with the team. Their opponents RB Leipzig currently lead the German Bundesliga and have in Timo Werner one of Europe’s most coveted strikers. Also, in Julian Nagelsmann one of the continent’s most promising young coaches.

Borussia Dortmund will be playing Paris St-Germain while Napoli take on Barcelona. The first legs will be played on 18, 19, 25 and 26 February with the return matches on 10, 11, 17 and 18 March. The current champions Liverpool was drawn to play against Atletico Madrid in their Wanda Metropolitano Stadium. Liverpool have the advantage of having their second leg against Atletico at Anfield, with the first tie being played at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Liverpool Looking to Defend the Champions League

They will be playing away from home for the first leg and hope to continue in their impressive performance. Manchester City is to play against Real Madrid which is their first competitive meeting. Pep Guardiola and Zinedine Zidane played against each other when they were still playing. Zidane played for Real Madrid while Guardiola played and Barcelona so is like a resurrection of rivalry between the two coaches.

Zinedane Zidane who is the current coach of Real Madrid has won the competition three times in a row while Guardiola won it with Barcelona in 2009 and 2011. The win Guardiola had with Barcelona was his last Champions League trophy. Manchester City has not been able to play in the final their best was in the quarter finals. He also coached Bayern but lost to Chelsea in 2012.
