Former Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang bagged a brace with Ronald Araujo and Ferran Torres also scoring one each to help Barca beat the La Liga leaders.
Carlo Ancelotti Says he is to Blame for Barca Defeat
The Blaugrana recorded their biggest El Clasico win at the Bernabeu since 2015 against Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid boys. Madrid remains nine points clear at the top of the table, with Barca 12 points behind in third place.
After the match, the former Chelsea and Everton head coach said: “It isn’t difficult to explain. They played better than us.” Ancelotti also said: “We wanted to control the ball more, to press them high, but it didn’t work … It’s my fault.”
The manager concluded by saying they were not recognizable in the game and everything went bad for them. He said they have to forget it and look forward, as they have a big lead [in the table]. He admitted to the players saying it was his fault.
