Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has demanded that Government of Sokoto State should do due diligence and get Justice for the deceased Deborah Samuel.
The Nigerian Christian group, which comprises Catholic, Anglican and Methodist churches, including other indigenous churches, has asked that those responsible for the death of Deborah should be brought to answer for their atrocities.
The Christian group has asked that the perpetrators be prosecuted for their offences and that the punishment for their actions would serve as a deterrent to others in the future.
Joseph Daramola, the General-Secretary of the Christian group had this to say, “The unlawful and dastardly action of the perpetrators must not only be condemned by all right-thinking people but the security operatives must fish them out, prosecute them as it is expected of them.”
However, it was gathered that two of the suspected killers have been arrested by the Sokoto State Police Command as a search is ongoing to apprehend others involved in the hate crime.
