A top businessman has said that several businesses are still suffering from the EndSARS Protest and that business owners are yet to recover from the trauma experienced during the period.
Musa Yusuf, the expert, and also a former Director-General, DG of the LagosChamber of Commerce and Industry, LCCI, noted that the 2020 protest left even the government distabilised while other trades are still burdened by the aftermaths.
For not having the required financing for rehabilitation of destroyed properties, Yusuf revealed that many of the state governments may not even have the resources to renovate as a result of the overwhelming damages.
In preparation for the one year anniversary of the protest, Mr Yusuf, also an Economist, hinted that the economic implication of the protest, hijacked by hoodlums, was enormous, that the country doesn’t need to witness another phase of such unrest again.
He said properties worth hundreds of millions of naira were destroyed and private investors are still counting their losses from all the destructions.
