Nigerian Grammy Academy Awards winner, Burna Boy, has launched a fighting bout with Ghanaian singer Shatta Wale.
The 30-year-old said he was ready to fight his Ghanaian counterpart one-on-one duel if they had issues settling.
This reaction is in response to Shatta Wale’s rant about Nigerian artists not promoting Ghanaian artists on the global stage.
Burna Boy reacted on his Instagram story to speak against the ongoing agenda against Nigerian artists by their Ghanaian counterparts.
The ‘Twice as Tall’ crooner wrote, “Dem dey play South African, American and UK music also for Ghana but na Nigeria own be an issue. Something fishy is smelling.
“Pushing this agenda of separation between our beautiful African nations is a grave disservice to the generations coming after us, and it goes against everything I stand for as a man and as an unapologetic pan Africanist.
“Therefore, if Shatta or anyone has a personal problem with me, I’m still open to fight one on one and squash it after, the same way I’ve always been. Nobody will ruin the unity we continuously try to build for a stronger and better Africa.” (sic)
Burna boy also reacted to a perceived misunderstanding between him and Davido; he wrote, “FYI, I have no issues with David. We are good now.
“David wasn’t tryna one on one me, but we figured it out. 2022 all of us must love ourselves by force. If not, make we just kill ourselves. No middle again. Forward ever backwards never. This is my last post of the year. God bless us all.” (sic)
