Grammy-winning Afrobeats superstar, Burna Boy, has achieved another significant milestone in his career. The artist, born Burna Boy, has tied Tems as the Nigerian artiste with the second most certified singles in the history of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

This achievement comes on the heels of his collaborative hit with British Grime star, Dave, “Location,” securing Gold certification in the United States. With this, Burna Boy now boasts a total of four certified songs in the country: “Last Last” (Platinum), “Ye” (Gold), “On The Low” (Gold), and the newly certified “Location.”

Leading the pack as the most certified Nigerian artist in the US remains Wizkid, with an impressive seven certified singles.

Meanwhile, in other music news, American rapper J. Cole has made history by earning his first-ever Diamond certification. His 2019 smash hit, “Middle Child,” has officially sold over 10 million units in the United States, solidifying its place in the RIAA diamond league.

Burna Boy’s latest feat underscores the growing global impact of Afrobeats and the artist’s undeniable influence on the international music scene.
