Buhari's Community Leader, Emir of Daura, Umaru Farouk
Emir Umar Farouk Umar of Daura, the home town of Presiden Muhammadu Buhari is said to be battling with complications from Coronavirus, and he is being admitted at the Katsina State Federal Medical Centre’s intensive care unit.
Report said the Emir who is fighting for his life was rushed to the hospital when his situation got worse.
Emir Umar was reported to have contracted the virus from the state index case, Aminu Yakubu, a medical doctor who died after suffering complications from the virus in April.
It would be recalled that Secretary to the State Government, Dr Mustapha Inuwa, had on Monday said there have been some Coronavirus positive cases from the palace, while samples of 89 people had been taken from the place for screening by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
The Emir of Daura’s palace has been reportedly sealed to take appropriate medical precautions and nip the spread.
