Buhari Unveils Logo For Nigeria’s 60th Anniversary

A few weeks before the October 1 Independence anniversary in Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari has unveiled the Logo for the 60th independence anniversary.

The Personal Assistant to President Buhari on Broadcast Media, Buhari Sallau disclosed this via Twitter noting that the logo was unveiled during the Wednesday Virtual Federal Executive Council, FEC meeting.

It was gathered that President Buhari presided over the virtual FEC meeting which was attended by the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, Minister of information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Boss Mustapha.

Other executive cabinet members in attendance include Babatunde Fashola, Rauf Aregbesola among others.

Everevery.ng reported that the Federal Government called on Nigerians to submit creative ideas on how to go about branding the 60th anniversary.

The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Pantami, who made the call on said President Buhari approved an inclusive National Independence Celebration programme in line with COVID-19 protocols.

Pantami, who doubles as Chairman, Diamond, Innovation, Change Sub-Committee, Nigeria @60 Inter-ministerial Committee said the call for ideas is to ensure inclusiveness.

According to Pantami, the thematic and creative aspects of the event would be designed by Nigerians for Nigeria (Read more here).
