Defence Headquarters Clears Air Over Buhari's Safety In Katsina
President Muhammadu Buhari has spoken on a repeat of the #EndSARS protest. According to the President, his government will do all in its power to prevent such from happening again.
This was part of the President’s statement during a meeting he held with National Security council in Abuja today.
It would be recalled that Nigerians trooped out to protest police brutality. The #EndSARS protesters took to the streets for week, expressing their displeasure.
The talked down on maiming, extortion, killing and bruatilising of innocent Nigerian by the police. Buhari assured that the Youth would be carried along in the scheme of things.
Buhari’s mind was made known by the Minister of Police Affairs, Muhammad Dinyadi. According to him, the President does not want a repeat of the October 2020 protests.
“What we are saying is that government will continue to dialogue, it will continue to listen and will continue to carry all stakeholders along in ensuring that there is no repeat of what happened that destroyed a lot of properties, public and private, in this country.“
