Buhari Raises Alarm Over Second Wave Of COVID-19 In Nigeria

President Muhammadu Buhari has on Thursday raised alarm over the second wave of Coronavirus, COVID-19 in Nigeria.

The President noted that the trends in some other countries should serve as a reminder for Nigerians to prevent the second wave of the pandemic in the country.

According to him, Nigerians must make sure that COVID-19 cases, which have gone down, do not rise again.

He warned that the nation’s economy is too fragile to bear another round of lockdown.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed that 47 new cases of COVID-19Nigeria were recorded in Nigeria.

Out of the new cases, Lagos has 82, FCT-20, Rivers-9, Kaduna-8, Plateau-8 while Benue recorded 5 cases.

Also, Edo recorded 3, Kano-3, Nasarawa-3, Taraba-3, Ogun-2 and Bauchi recorded 1 new case.

The new cases bring the total of COVID-19 cases in the country to 62,371 as of Wednesday, October 28.
