Share

President Muhammadu Buhari will partake in the first crude oil drill in North East Nigeria, as he’d be commissioning the project today, Tuesday 22, 2022.

The act is history in the making, seeing there have been countless attempts to discover oil in that region, and the commissioning would mark a day to remember.

The name of the discovered mineral-resource location is attributed to Kolmani Oil Prospecting Lease, OPL 809 and 810, at the Kolmani field site situated in Bauchi and Gombe States.

Already, some Journalists are stationed at the launch site awaiting the arrival of President Muhammadu Buhari, for the ceremony proper.

Others expected alongside the President at the epoch-making event include the Minister of State for Petroleum, Mr Timipre Sylva and the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPC, Mallam Mele Kyari, to mention a few.

At the time of posting this story, the kickoff is only moments away in the respective states.
