President Muhammadu Buhari has commissioned a new University on his first two-day working visit to Ebonyi.
The President was on hand to open the newly established King David University of Medical Sciences, Uburu in the Ohaozara local government area of Ebonyi State.
The buildings commissioned inside the institution were, a Teaching Hospital, an administrative block of the University, hostels, staff residential areas and the University Secondary school blocks.
Buhari described the University as a wonderful and excellent project and hailed the resilience of the state government.
While briefing the President, Governor David Umahi disclosed that the school, equipped with varieties of modern equipment, will be beneficial for different specialties of medicine.
He disclosed that the institution was built with the input of direct labour so as to cut cost.
Umahi further appreciated the financial support of the President, which aided the completion of several projects in the state.
