Buhari Arrested In Abuja, Victims Rescued

In a significant breakthrough, the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Police have apprehended a notorious kidnapping ringleader, Buhari Muhammad, along with five accomplices in a hotel raid in Abuja.

Acting on credible intelligence, FCT Police Anti-Kidnapping Unit operatives swooped in on February 2nd, 2024, to arrest the prime suspect, Buhari Muhammad, aged 20, alongside Muhammad Sabiu (20), Isah Abdullahi, Hamzat Musa (21), Fatima Abdullahi (22), and Zuliat Yusuf (23) at a hotel in Bassa Village, FCT.

The capture of this notorious syndicate follows their involvement in the abduction of Joshua Eze on January 27, 2024. During the heinous act, Joshua’s wife, Blessing Eze, sustained a bullet injury while trying to protect her husband. However, swift action by the FCT Police ensured Joshua’s safe rescue on January 28, 2024.

In a statement released today, SP Josephine Adeh, spokesperson for the FCT command, disclosed that the apprehended suspects were found in possession of an AK-47 rifle, 10 mobile phones, and a substantial sum of N350,000 in cash, along with other valuables. The suspects have confessed to their involvement in this crime and other kidnapping incidents within the Territory.
