Brighton Rejects Arsenal’s £40m Bid for Ben White

Brighton has reportedly rejected Arsenal’s £40m bid for their England defender Ben White as they look to secure a higher offer from other clubs. Ben White had an impressive season with the Seagulls in the 2020/21 English Premier League season, and so the North London was interested in him.

Ben White made a total of 36 Premier League appearances, and his fine form saw him earn a late call-up to England Euro 2020 squad. Arsenal is keen to bolster their team after a disappointing 2020-21 campaign, and a new defender will help as David is set to leave the club.

Meanwhile, Arsenal has also rejected a £25m bid from Aston Villa for their young player Emile Smith Rowe. The Gunners are in the process of extending the 20-year-old’s contract, with his current deal set to expire in two years. The report states that Arsenal has no intention of selling the player.

Manchester United is also interested in the Brighton defender, but they are yet to offer the player. Arsenal seems to be the only team that has made an offer for the player.
