A Nigerian comedian, Bright Okpocha, well known as Basketmouth, threw some shades at Wizkid while acknowledging that Davido’s wedding has become the centre of attention on social media.
He mentioned that promoting his show right now would be a challenge because everyone’s attention is on Davido’s wedding.
He pointed out that not even Wizkid recent social media controversy received significant attention because everyone was so engrossed in Davido and Chioma’s wedding.
On his Instagram account, Basketmouth wrote: “Davido’s wedding has taken over the social media space.
“Except you want us to start using Chivido2024 to promote the show. Which I don’t think will work.
“Because, even Wizkid wey throw shade, nobody send am.”
It is reported that Wizkid recently caused a stir by tweeting “Lol [lots of laughs]” shortly after Davido posted his pre-wedding photos with Chioma.
We recall that Wizkid also tweeted where he mentioned praying for all the understanding women, which some fans interpreted as a subtle dig at Chioma. Chioma has been known for her patience and understanding towards Davido, especially during the infidelity rumours surrounding him.
However, Wizkid clarified that people were misinterpreting his tweets, indicating that there might have been misunderstandings about his intentions.
