Brendan Rodgers of Leicester City has given an update on the injury of Nigerian international Wilfred Ndidi. According to the manager who earlier said Leicester City lost against Leeds United because of the player’s absence and the club’s skipper Jamie Verdy, he raised questions about the player.
Brender Rodgers said the Nigerian international, who has not had a smooth season due to injury, may still be out for at least two more weeks. They played with the player yesterday and won 2-0 which shows they were trying to fill his team gap.
However, Brendan Rodgers told reporters in the Leicester City training ground that the team will have to play without their most influential players for now. The players who are Jamie Vardy and Wilfred Ndidi.
The manager said they are hopeful Jamie Verdy will be back to play the weekend game, but for Ndidi, he says the player still needs time to recover fully. He also said his team is improving at least the victory is an improvement compared to their last home loss to Leeds United.
Leicester City who failed to make the Champions League position last is doing everything possible to ensure they didn’t make the same mistake the previous season.
They are trying to keep the pressure on Manchester United and Manchester City, and they are already above defending champions Liverpool who lost at home to Brighton.
