Bobrisky Released from Prison After Conviction for Naira Mutilation (VIDEO)

Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, has been released from prison following his conviction for mutilating naira notes.

On April 5, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) secured a conviction against Bobrisky on four counts related to the abuse of the naira. The popular crossdresser had pleaded guilty to the charges before Justice A.O. Awogboro at the Federal High Court in Lagos.

Bobrisky was released on Monday, August 5, 2024. Videos circulating on social media showed him celebrating with friends, dancing to Mohbad’s and Chike’s song “Egwu.”

In the VIDEO, his friends can be heard exclaiming, “We are out of prison. Congratulations, Bobrisky.”
