Bishop Kukah Reveals Reason For Killings In Nigeria

Nigerian cleric Bishop Mathew Kukah has revealed what he described as the reason for the ongoing killings in Nigeria. Bishop Kukah, the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, said the country’s level of insecurity shows that Nigerian leaders have no conscience.

Kukah noted that there is nowhere in the world where killings of human lives manifest as it is in Nigeria today.

According to the clergyman, the continuous barbaric slaughter and murder of innocent Nigerians suggest that the National Assembly, Presidential Villa, government houses are not evidence of civilization.

He further noted that the Nigerian government have never declared the kidnappers to be a terrorist group.

Bishop Kukah said the President and governors of Nigeria should address Nigerians to tell them that they are not protecting Nigerians from foreign invaders and kidnappers.

The clergyman explained that the body language of the Nigerian government shows that foreign bandits can come at will, kill, loot, rape, kidnap and murder Nigerians and even wipe out their communities, destroy homes, farmlands and property.

You will recall that President Muhammadu Buhari had warned that his administration will not allow those attacking government facilities in some parts of the country to continue with such a barbaric act.

Buhari said those behind the attacks want his administration to fail, adding that whoever get involve in destroying public facilities will soon have the shock of their lives.

He said his administration has changed the Service Chiefs and the Inspector-General of Police and hope that the new security chiefs would rise fully to the nation’s challenges.
