Bichi: Don’t Address me as Son of DG DSS

Abba Bichi, the son of the Director-General for the Department of State Services (DSS), has said Nigerians should address him by his name and not the son of DG DSS.

The Nigerian Golden Eaglet footballer took to his verified Instagram page to lament his discomfort at being tagged the son of the DG DSS rather than his name or his profession.

Call me Nigerian International – Bichi

He stated that his father, the office holder as DG DSS, should be addressed as such and not him.

“Short notice to all Nigerian media houses and blogs! Please stop addressing me as the son of the Dg Dss, address me by my full name ( bichi Yusuf abba ); the office holder should be addressed like that, not me !”

He added that he would not hesitate to sue anyone or blog that addresses him and warned people to stay off associating him with his father’s office.

“Dg Dss is not a family title but a national title to the holder of the office; I am a Nigerian footballer, and my month of eligibility to sign a professional contract in Europe is here! So address me as a Nigerian international footballer! Please take note 🙏”

Bichi Jr., as he is referred to, plays for Yingkou Chagoyue FC in China and represented Nigeria in the 2019 FIFA u-17 World Cup in Brazil.

The 18-year-old footballer recently became the brand ambassador for a real estate company in the countries capital and was gifted an N90Million Duplex in Abuja.
