Beyonce Reminiscence Over Vocal Injury

American singer and actress Beyonce has disclosed one of the most significant achievements she recorded in her musical career. The multiple Grammy award-winning singer said she recorded about 60 songs at the age of 10.

Speaking during an interview with Harper’s Bazaar ahead of her 40th birthday coming up in September, the singer said she was competing at singing and dancing competitions at the age of seven.

Beyonce, the most nominated female artiste in Grammy’s history, said she developed vocal injury due to singing for too many hours; the singer revealed that the damage made her thought her career was over.

Meanwhile, Beyonce added that she has a lot of pressure as a black woman while trying to succeed. The singer opined that she is presently at a point in her career where she does not compete with her past achievements.

The famous singer also talked about her struggles with insomnia, the effect of COVID-19 lockdown and how quarantine gave her a chance to focus on herself.

Meanwhile, the singer went on to say that she aims to pursue opportunities outside of the music industry, adding that she wants to continue to work to dismantle systemic imbalances.

Beyonce said she also wants to continue turning the music industries upside down and creating businesses outside of music.

Earlier in the interview, Beyonce highlighted filmmaking as an example of a passion she enjoys outside of music, referring to it as a newfound love.
