In a post-show interview, Anita was asked how she felt about discovering that Topher, who initially claimed to be her age mate at 29, later lied about being 26, and is actually 24—five years younger than her.
When asked how she felt, Anita responded, “I’m ok. I’m not sure why everyone is expecting this huge reaction.” The interviewer mentioned that the age issue had caused quite a bit of drama during the season. Anita, however, downplayed the age factor, saying, “It’s not about the age. It was about the dishonesty. I don’t have a problem with the age.”
She continued, “If you’re going to be that close to me, if you’re going to speak with me, eat with me, laugh with me, and spend weeks together, I expect some level of honesty. It wasn’t about the age; it was about how comfortable you are being truthful with me.”
Anita went on to reveal that she and Topher have since spoken about the situation and resolved their differences. “I do know the real age now, and we are good. We’ve talked about why he kept it from me,” she added, putting the age drama behind them.
