Organisers of the Big Brother Naija reality Tv show has on Monday announced the date when Olalekan Agbelesebioba, also known as Laycon and all the winners during the Season 5 housemates will collect their prizes.
In a tweet, the organisers stated that the prizes would be presented to the housemates on Wednesday, September 30 by 11 am.
The tweet reads “All your favourite #BBNaija Housemates are going to collect their winnings in grand style this Wednesday. If you want the type of content that’ll make you smile like mumu, then you better tune in.”
The announcement is coming barely 24 hours after Laycon was crowned the winner of the BBnaija season 5 lockdown edition at the the BBN Finale on Sunday, September 27 during which Dorathy and Nengi were also announced as the 2nd and 3rd runner up respectively.
You will recall that the organisers had since the start of the show announced that the grand prize which includes a N30m cash prize makes the 2020 season winnings the biggest since its debut back in 2006 and highest prize for a reality TV show on the continent.
According to the Chief Executive Officer, MultiChoice Nigeria, John Ugbe, the fifth season of BBNaija marks a major milestone in the reality TV series.
He highlighted MultiChoice’s commitment to making the BBNaija season 5 significant by not only increasing the winnings but by also implementing other creative and innovative ways to ensure the show lives up to the premium entertainment especially during the current pandemic.
Ugbe gave the breakdown of the grand prize for BBNaija season five to include a N30m cash prize, a two-bedroom apartment, a top of the range SUV, a trip to Dublin, home appliances, a trip to Dubai, a year’s supply of Indomie noodles, Munch it and Colgate toothpaste, a year’s supply of Pepsi.
Other prizes are branded chiller, a trip to watch the UEFA Champions League finale and a brand new Oppo mobile smartphone.
