Bella and Phyna went viral with their video following Nedu Wazobia’s remark about BBnaija girls. He claimed that these girls used the platform to advertise themselves to potential solicitors. These solicitors sought them for s@x in exchange for money. He alleged that the cars and houses were not earned through hard work as claimed but through men. He accused BBnaija girls of prostitution. Though he expressed that this was not the case for all, he alleged that it was a majority.
These claims prompted BBNaija ex-housemates Bella and Phyna to make a video addressing the issue. They condemned the act and encouraged people to be hardworking. They further mocked their fellow BBNaija stars who were into this immoral act. In doing so, the two claimed they were not part of the girls who did those immoral acts.
Their video was widely scrutinised by fans and celebrities alike. Many felt they were disingenuous and though the message was right, the messengers were wrong. They accused Bella of having a sister who is Flavour’s baby mama. They similarly accused Phyna of also following men for money, considering her two abortions. Fans alleged that Phyna was dating a married man whom she had one of the abortions for.
Following their heavy criticism, Deyemi Okanlawon added his take concerning the issue. He wrote “There are actually many personalities/celebrities I know, MEN and WOMEn, who truly work hard and very smart to earn a good living and can afford to own a home, car, etc. One common trait I’ve observed about us is that we tend not to make noise about our wins!”
He was taking a diss at Phyna Bella, who were ‘making noise’ by posting a video about the issue.
