BBNaija top 5 finalist, Victoria Adeyele popularly knot as Vee has shared how Mercy Eke, Tacha and Cee-C who are all female housemates from previous BBnaija season have helped her get through the vitriol from her haters after the show.
This negativity did not just come up after the show but started while she was in the race to win 85 million naira in the Lockdown house especially when she made some angry comments on the complicated love situation her friend, Laycon found himself in.
In her media rounds, she said that she would pay no mind to the people sending death threats but would focus on securing the bag just like her predecessors, Mercy, Tacha and Cee-C. In her words,
“There were death threats after I left the house, some called me ‘Vee bitter leaf, Venom’ but I learnt from Tacha, Cee-c and Mercy to get over the negativity no matter the insults and keep going for the bag
“So I’m not going to get into that and allow that to weigh me down. I have chosen to be with people that care about me instead.”
Remember that during the Lockdown show, Laycon had feelings for Erica and despite seeing that Erica was not reciprocating, he kept asking her and inadvertently hurting himself whenever he saw her making out with her actual love interest, Kiddwaya. Vee could not sit back and let her friend become a shadow of himself because of unreciprocated love and proceeded to sternly warn him to stay away from Erica and in the process said things that may have come of as hateful words towards Erica.
This was the beginning of the teh hatred for Vee as supporters of Erica were not having her say all she did. The show’s host , Ebuka Obi-Uchendu may have escalated the situation after escalating the situation and bringing private conversations between Laycon and Erica to light.
