Nigerian media personality, Dele Momodu is currently receiving serious bashing on social media for campaigning for BBNaija lockdown housemate, Tersser Waya, aka Kiddwaya.
The Ovation boss incurred the wrath of Nigerians after asking Nigerians to stop promoting ‘poverty mentality‘ with the people they support in the show. Dele Momodu said Big Brother reality TV show is about branding opportunities for housemates and that viewers should not vote for the winner based on the poorest housemate.
The media mogul who was on Instagram Live chat with Terry Waya, father of housemate, Kiddwaya, a few weeks ago has now urged Nigerians to vote for Kiddwaya because he is a perfect gentleman.
He wrote, ‘‘winning won’t make you the richest HOUSEMATE! Let’s play and enjoy the game by voting for the perfect gentleman who rocks, Kiddwaya!”
His post hasn’t gone down well with some viewers of the show who insinuated that he was berating housemates from poor background.
A Twitter user @Airfem234 wrote, ‘‘Voting for other housemates other than Kiddwaya is in no way promoting poverty mentality. I vote the housemate I connected to from day one and that’s Laycon’‘
Another user, @Bilkisuroden wrote, ‘‘I will vote for Laycon with my last money, it’s my money. I vote for who entertains me, stop all the perfect gentle man mentality, it won’t work. Your candidate gives only romance and sex, and that’s not entertaining to most of us”
Kiddwaya is up for eviction this Sunday alongside Laycon, Vee, Lucy, and Nengi in the ongoing Big Brother Naija Season 5 reality TV show.
