Napoli has made a decision that sees Tiemoue Bakayoko faced with an unpleasant prospect that might see him hunting for a new club for which to play.
The Italian club has decided not to purchase Tiemoue Bakayoko from Chelsea, so a return to France is possible for PSG or Lyon.
The 26-year-old is only under contract with Chelsea until June 2022, purchased from Monaco for €40m back in 2017.
He barely turned out in the blue jersey of the London club, going out on a series of less than stellar and unimpressive loan spells at Milan, Monaco and Napoli.
Multiple reports in Italy are confident the player won’t be purchased outright by Napoli, as he has dropped down the pecking order in recent months.
Footmercato insists a return to France could be his next step, with PSG and Olympique Lyonnais interested in the defensive midfielder.
