Abba Kyari, a former Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP, has resorted to using health challenges like every other corrupt government official as an excuse to gain temporary relief from his detainment.
However, as luck would have it, the so-called super cop was granted his request to gain access to some medical attention yesterday by Justice Inyang Ekwo of an Abuja Federal High Court.
It was learnt that the former DCP would be treating diabetes and hypertension but would remain under the supervision of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA.
Recall that Abba Kyari was alleged to be involved in the trafficking of banned substances and was also caught in a video trying to convince an NDLEA operative to be part of their illegal transactions.

Meanwhile, while delivering judgment on his bail application, the judge turned the bail request down but permitted him to see medical personnel.
What this means is that Kyari would be having access to a recommended medical expert that would tend to his health issues but would still be in custody pending when the agency concludes their 14-day investigations to garner enough evidence to proceed with super cop’s trial.
