Following his arrest last week, Nigerian singer Timeleyin Olorunyomi also known as Badboy Timz slams former Label, Anonymous Music with a lawsuit worth millions for damages.
This legal action is following the reportedly unlawful arrest of the musicians with claims that he defrauded his record label and show promoters. In the viral video, Badboy Tims was recorded in handcuffs in the comapny of his brother and girlfriend in a building that looked like the federal secretariat in Abuja.
Following this public disgrace, the singer has followed up with a court serving to his former record label for defamation of character seeing that the headlines accused him of fraud.
In the serving, they were asked to tender an apology to Timz for the unlawful arrest and also to publish the apology on at least three recognized national papers. Finally, they were asked to pay for damages to the tune of N200M and failure to meet these requests in 7 days will attract a fine of N900M.
Following this development, Timz announced that he has lawfully terminated his contract with the said label.
