Ayefele’s Radio Attack: NUJ Calls for Arrest of Troubling Gangs

Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, the Oyo State Council, yesterday, called on the authorities to swiftly move and arrest the gangs terrorizing Fresh FM, a radio station owned by Yinka Ayefele, an ace gospel musician.

NUJ condemned the attack on a radio station in Ibadan, Fresh FM, calling on the police to fish out the perpetrators of the heinous act.

It was gathered that a three-member gang armed with guns had stormed the station in the early hours of the day and dispossessed staff of phones, laptops, ATM cards, and other electronic gadgets.

NUJ Chairman Condemns Attack

According to a press release from the union, its chairman, Demola Babalola, condemned the invasion of the station and called for a probe of the attack.

The union also called on the Commissioner of Police, Ngozi Onadeko, to swing into action to fish out the gang to forestall future recurrence on other media houses in particular and the general public in general.
