Aurier and Ibe Breaks Social-distancing Rules Again
Just a few weeks after some English Premier League players were punished for breaking the lockdown rule another set of players are now under investigation for this same offence. Aurier and Ibe are both under investigation for breaking the social-distance rule. Tottenham and Bournemouth are investigating Serge Aurier and Jordon Ibe after they appeared to breach coronavirus social-distancing rules.
Aurier and Ibe broke the social-distance rule with just a few days to the resumption of the league as they have already resume small non-contact group training. English Premier League (EPL) players breaking social-distance rules is becoming a trend as serious as the coronavirus pandemic is in Europe. Ivorian and Spurs right-back Aurier was caught again for this offence the player posted a photo on social media of himself and a barber after getting a haircut.
Another English Premier League Player caught for this act is 24-year-old Bournemouth star player Ibe, he also posted a picture of himself having a haircut but has since deleted the picture but it had already attracted the interest of the management before it was deleted.
Hairdressers were not allowed to open until 4th of July at the earliest in England, and people are not allowed to entertain visitors at their homes under the current guidelines. Bournemouth said they have launched “an internal investigation” and it is expected that the midfielder will face disciplinary action. Both Aurier and Ibe will be purnished for their offences.
Tottenham Hotspurs speaking about Aurier said that they are investigating the circumstances and will deal with the incident appropriately. It appears to be the third time Aurier has broken social distancing rules. In a social media post on Wednesday, Aurier hinted that there were double standards behind criticism he has received.
Aurier was caught previously when he posted a video of himself and a friend jogging during the lockdown, although he apologized this time he said “My hairdresser is negative and me too, so stop talking in a vacuum,” he wrote. “Put on masks and gloves when you come to take pictures at the training centre – it’s part of the rules too.”
