Atalanta’s final Champions League group game against Villarreal was postponed on Wednesday, and many people have been asking why art was postponed. It was confirmed that it had nothing to do with coronavirus, but it was because of heavy snow on the pitch. The game has been rescheduled to take place later today by 18:00 GMT.

Snow Stopped Atalanta and Villarreal Game

The winner of the Group F encounter in northern Italy will progress to the Champions League knockout stages alongside Manchester United, who have already won the group. English referee Anthony Taylor has been appointed to oversee the game. The game was called off after it was delayed for about 20 minutes, but the snow only became worse, so they postponed it.

Both Atalanta and Villarreal players were set to go into the game as they had all dressed in their kits, but the snow kept falling, persuading the officials to make their decision. Manchester United played Young Boys with their key players as academy players dominated the United team. However, the English side managed to play a 1-1 draw leaving Young Boys last in Group F.
