Manchester United new signing Diallo’s former teammate Willy Braciano Ta Bi has been reported dead after battling with cancer for a long time. The Atalanta star player was with Amed Diallo at Ivorian side ASEC Mimosa back in 2019 as teammates.
Ta Bi and Diallo also moved to Italian top side before Diallo moved to English Premier League side Manchester United. The report of his deat was made known by Atalanta.
According to the statement it says Ta Bi passed away on Tuesday morning, February 24, after battling liver cancer for the last one year. The club described the death as a cruel fate.
Antonio Percassi who is the president of the club said the player. whole Atalanta family are deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Willy Braciano Ta Bi. They also said in a statement that a cruel fate prematurely interrupted a dream that had begun with the Nerazzurri shirt in January 2019.
Manchester United star Diallo paid an emotional tribute for Ta Bi on his Instagram page describing him as a friend. He said: “Rest in peace, Willy Braciano Ta Bi. Forever in our hearts. Now sleep in peace, friend.”
