ASUU and FG: Despite Countless Meetings, no Positive Results on Ending Strike

Share

The ASUU and FG trend on Twitter has been ongoing for about two days now, and their discussions centre around the terms and conditions for resolving the strike.

The surprising point to take home is that all the meetings held over the past seven months haven’t yielded any positive results.

At the receiving end of these unending conversations and negotiations are the students that have been staying idle at home hoping that one day the strike would be called off.

Already, there are cases of female students getting pregnant, seeing that there’s less to be done to alleviate the boredom and idleness.

The narrative here is that the future of these promising Nigerian students is hanging on the outcome of the ASUU and FG fruitless meetings.

And neither the Academic Staff Union of Universities nor the Federal Government is willing to bend the back to conclude the matter.

Parent, Guardians and other concerned parties are seriously hoping the industrial action is called off so the students can get back to their learning institutes.
