Premier League giants, Chelsea have officially announced the departure of Ross Barkley has completed a loan move to Aston Villa for the remainder of the 2020/21 Premier League season. The former Everton star has been playing for the Blues for the past two years after joining from Everton and has played 86 games with 11 goals.
Chelsea made some signings before the start of the ongoing Premier League season which made the starting XI a difficult one for Ross Barkley. He is the latest Aston Villa signing and will be with the club until the end of the 2020/21 English Premier League season. Barkley has 33 international caps and has been at Stamford Bridge since moving from Everton in January 2018.
The 26-year-old has played three times for Chelsea this season, scoring once. According to Aston Villa manager Dean Smith, he said: “Capturing a player of Ross’s quality is a real coup for our club and I am certain he will thrive here and improve our team.” Barkley started his career at his boyhood club Everton and made 179 appearances and 27 goals for the Toffees before leaving.
