Since Asake’s last album release (Mr Money with the Vibes), fans have been craving another massive project from the Nigerian-American signed artiste.
Finally, he dropped a single that has since been welcomed with various reactions from both lovers of his works and heavy critics.
Yoga is the title of the music he dropped that is driving his fans crazy and has also topped Apple’s music chat on the app.
The song is currently the most streamed track on Apple’s trending songs, and as many know about the Afro-singer, tracks he releases mostly remain at the top for weeks or months before being overtaken by more recent work from other musicians.
However, some listeners felt differently about the track. @officialceledon tweeted that lyrically, the track is pointless and made up of only rhymes.
Another fan, Ayomide Tayo with the handle @AOT2, tweeted that, firstly, the song is really good. Secondly, it is the best time for the artistes to do something different, as the track showed creative freedom, adding that “Asake’s Yoga feels like an interlude, before another anticipated mad run.”
