Ahmed Ololade Asake, known locally and internationally as Asake, has broken a record on Apple Music Nigeria that also substituted every other record set by Nigerian Artistes.
When the EP Album debuted last Thursday, the wave-making musician literally dusted every other top Nigerian music celebrity to hold twelve (12) positions on Apple Music ratings.
Fans quickly flooded Twitter to express excitement over the feat and stressed how it has never been done in the history of Nigeria, adding that there’s been no record with such a number of tracks that have lasted this long since the release date.
The twelve songs that topped the Apple list in order of appearance include 1. Organise, 2. Terminator, 3. Joha, 4. Dull, 5. Nzaza, 6. Peace be unto You, 7. Dupe, 8. Ototo, 9. Muse, 10. Reason, 11. Sunmomi, and 12. Sungba.
The Artiste has been feeling the love from his fans and commendations from various quarters for putting out a project that wouldn’t leave the lips of music lovers.
On Asake World Status, Twitter, some fans are even saying that the impact of his recently released album would affect the listenership of Wizkid and Arya Starr’s scheduled releases.
