Arsenal Set to Sell their Record Signing for £25m Only

English Premier League top side Arsenal is reportedly willing to cut their losses on record signing Nicolas Pepe and allow him to go for as low as £25m. Pepe joined the North London club for a record fee of £72m from Ligue 1 top side in the summer of 2019 but has struggled to perform consistently for the Gunners.

Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta prefers Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka in the wide areas leaving Nicolas Pepe not needed in the team. According to reports, Arsenal would now accept a £25m figure for Pepe as they eye a move for Juventus’ Dejan Kulusevski.

However, the report also said that garnering that cut-price fee for Pepe may be a challenge in itself, with the 26-year-old very short of suitors at present. Pepe has scored just one goal and provided three assists from nine games in all tournaments this season and is not due to become a free agent until the summer of 2024.
