In-form English Premier League side Arsenal could be without their full-back Takehiro Tomiyasu for Tuesday’s Carabao Cup quarter-final tie against Sunderland because of a muscle injury.

Arsenal Star player Takehiro Tomiyasu Doubtful for Carabao Cup

Defender Pablo Mari and midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga are both out of the game because they both tested positive for coronavirus. Sunderland manager Lee Johnson said an unnamed player returned a positive Covid test on Monday and will miss the tie at Emirates Stadium.

The unnamed player is not the only player to miss the game as on-loan forward Leon Dajaku is also doubtful after suffering a knock at the weekend. Arsenal has been doing well since their 3-2 loss to Manchester United United, they are yet to drop a point as they have won all the games after the United clash.

But the absence of these key players could make a lot of difference now in the club as they head into the Carabao Cup.
