Due to the insecurity in the South-Eastern region, the Arewa Consultative Forum has warned Northerners against travelling to the area.
The National Chairman of the forum, Audu Ogbe, who issued the warning, expressed worry over increasing attacks and killings of northern residents in the Southeast.
He recalled the killings of northern leaders in 1966, which he said triggered the events that led to the civil war. According to Ogbe, Northerners should weigh the importance of their travels to the Southeast before embarking on such.
The warning is coming after a former presidential aide to Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Ahmed Gulak, was murdered by IPOB members in Owerri, the Imo state capital.
