Rauf Aregbesola, the present Minister of Interior, and his former political ally, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, a former Lagos State Governor, are currently in a fracas over the next successor in the forthcoming primaries for an All Progressives Congress, APC gubernatorial candidate.

The Interior Minister held nothing back when he spat fire towards his counterpart, saying that the APC National leader’s time of godfatherism and enthronement is over.

Aregbesola who is a former Governor of Osun State was speaking at the Ijebu Jesa area yesterday when he stressed that the end has come for the politics of treacherous leaders who perceive themselves as gods on earth.

Aregbesola to Counter Party Rivals

In the past, the Minister said he placed all his trust on Asiwaju only to be outrightly betrayed, adding that this time, the APC National leader, including an ex-governor of Osun State, Bisi Akande, has started imposing the current governor of the state, Gboyega Oyetola, on the people, against popular will.

Suggesting his candidate, the Minister called on the party members in Osun to support a former Secretary to the State Government, Moshood Adeoti, in Saturday’s governorship primary.
