Aregbesola in a meeting with AGF
The Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has disclosed plans to decongest correctional facilities in the country.
Aregbesola who disclosed this on his verified Twitter handle said that he held a meeting with the Attorney General of the Federation, AGF and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, Chief Judge of FCT, Justice I.U Bello and other government officials.
In a message on his twitter handle, the Minister confirmed that the meeting was basically on the process and procedure to radically decongest Nigeria’s correctional facilities.
He said: ”I held a midnight meeting on the process and procedure to radically decongest @CorrectionsNg’s custodial centers with Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami; Chief Judge of FCT, Justice I.U Bello and other government officials.
