Popular Nigerian Cleric and the general overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleiman has reacted to the fall in oil price amidst the Coronavirus, COVID-19 pandemic.
In a post on his official Twitter handle, the Pastor noted that he has always advocated the need to embrace and invest in the Agricultural sector, which he described as the future economic strength.
He further advised those who are already into Agriculture business to be more committed to it as he also pointed out that palm oil is more expensive than crude oil.
The tweet reads “Crude oil price just crashed 305 per cent.
I have always advocated that agriculture remains the bedrock of future economic strength.
Poultry, piggery, fish pond, snail farming, food produce etc.
If you are already in it, be more dedicated.
Palm oil is now more expensive than crude oil.
Oil prices have been steadily falling since the outbreak of coronavirus, and the demand for crude has plunged.
The global oil price benchmark, Brent crude, has extended its decline, plummeting to $19 per barrel on Tuesday, amid the demand collapse caused by reduced economic activity.
Brent, against which Nigeria’s crude oil is priced, fell by $6.34 to $19.23 per barrel as of 11:01am Nigerian time on Tuesday, while US WTI stood at minus $8.00 per barrel.
